Python is the first stop for anyone who wants to get into data and AI. The good news: you do not need to know programming beforehand.
Why Python?
Python’s syntax is plain and easy to read. It has strong libraries for data analysis, machine learning, automation and web development. That is why most training and projects in the AI field run on Python.
Learning order
- Variables, data types and basic operations
- Conditionals and loops
- Lists, dictionaries and other data structures
- Functions
- Reading and writing files
- First libraries: NumPy and Pandas for data
How should you practice?
Watching videos or reading is not enough on its own; you learn by writing code. Solve a small problem after each topic and get used to reading error messages. An error message usually tells you where the problem is.
After a few weeks, try automating a small task from your own work, such as renaming the files in a folder or summarizing a table. A real need is the best exercise.
